Through My Lens3:15 PM
When I read IFB's new project (#71!) was about sharing how we see the world, I got very excited. I feel like thats just what my blog is all about , not so much focusing on me , but my life in New York City and what a wonderful city it is. I am a born New Yorker, but I don't believe someone is really a New Yorker until they have spent a decent time in NYC, one of the best cities in the world (yea I am kind of bias, I am a new yorker after all, we all are).
Anyone who reads my blog knows that I go to the Fashion Institute of Technology, and I feel so blessed to be able to go to such a competitive school, my dream school. This school has definitely molded me into the person I am today, it has opened so many doors that I wouldn't have explored if it wasn't for this school.
"Campus" was pretty empty, it is a Sunday, no one comes in on Sundays. As many of you know I love fashion (obviously), but my true passion is photography. As a photographer I am constantly looking at my surroundings as if I am looking through the view finder. Will this scene make a good picture? Hows the lighting? Shutter speed? Even when I don't have my camera with me. I think everything can look beautiful at the right angle.
This is just a few blocks away from FIT on 8th ave.
I really do look at all the little details of my surroundings , and you would be surprised what you can see when you just take a moment and look around.
IFB partnered with Lookmaic for this project; prior to this I have never heard of them, although I checked them out and its good to see a company offering cute, fashion forward eyewear for an affordable price. Check them out! (like always click on the colored link to be linked to them)
