Stack em High

9:29 PM

Like with shoes I have just recently become a jewelry person, and I am completely OBSESSED with this new stacked/layered jewelry trend. When I think of layering bracelets i think of summer, which is why i am surprised that this trend is still going strong in the winter. Like with every trend there is a right and wrong way to do it, after analyzing many photos (mostly on Pintrest and Tumblr) I have put together a list of tips when you are venturing into layering your jewelry.

Keep the metals similar; if its gold have all the other bracelets made up of metal be gold or gold color, and silver the same. Mixing gold and silver may clash and not look attractive.
Experiment with different thicknesses; don't keep all the bracelets the same, adding thin and thick ones brings a unique and eye catching aspect to the set.
Add a watch; my favorite combinations always have a big old watch smack in the middle of the wrist. Remember try to match the metal of your watch with the other bracelets; if your watch has some color in it try and throw in a bracelet with that color as well to tie it all together.
Use bracelets made up of different textures; metal? cloth? leather? feathers? beads? Try them all, the more variety the more interesting it will look, but never put ALL of them together just a few.
If possible come up with a color theme; try different hues of blues, or even warm colors, this will bring uniformity to the set.

  10. This is great! I hope this trend sticks around, I love wearing different pieces of jewelry on my wrist, especially nice watches. It makes me feel fashionable for some reason. I really like the bracelets you have! And I love how they're all different but have something unspoken in common.
