A Blank Canvas9:37 PM
My lovely manicure that I got two weeks ago has long been chipped off, so last night I decided I wanted to paint my nails in order to keep them from breaking (also cause naked nails are ugly). I was actually inspired by this girl's nails in my spanish class, she had white nails with two triangles on her accent nail. After letting my nails completely dry I taped them up painted. For once I waited till that coat was completely dry, then I slowly pulled the tape off... I failed again, and again, and again. It just wasn't my night, maybe I was too impatient, but i took out my frustration and splattered that one nail.
I must say I am rather pleased with how it turned out and to think it was easier than tape! Really all you need is a straw and newspaper (so the polish doesn't go everywhere). Coat the inside of the end of the straw in a color and blow on the other end and thats all there is too it! To add a painted look I used a matte top coat (also I generally just do not like shiny nails).
