A Fiery Independence

7:06 PM

It’s been a while since I have had time to post and it feels good to be back at it (just 3 more weeks until I will be much more free). So to all of my readers in the U.S happy belated 4th of July; I spent the holiday with my boyfriend in the city enjoying the beautiful day and sweating in 90 degree weather. We spent a good time scouting out coffee places, as you all know I am really not a Starbucks fan and there are some hidden gems in the city to find a good cup. We visited Joes and Stumptown downtown (unfortunately there new location was closed). I was just glad to be able to pick up my camera again; its been a while.

But the real reason why we were in the city was to watch the Macy's 4th of July fireworks, which are some of the best in the country; they did not disappoint. We went out to Hoboken to watch the show (which was far less hectic than Manhattan and by far gave us a better view). For all of you who have watched it on NBC, it really doesn't do the show any justice that’s how amazing they were. My advice: if you live in the Tristate area, next year you must see them in person, it really was a spectacular show and the best fireworks I have ever seen.

For all of you who didn't see them in person or on TV I thought Id share a few photos that I took.
